Monumental Family

My family is by far the best they even blessed me in front of the rest.They say I’m sad that makes me glad,They wished I was a Frog I’d Rather be a Dog.I like the way my family doesn’t judge so now can we eat some fudge?

What Families are to me?

Families are people who care about you,                                    My Family is special your Family is too!

Mothers and Fathers,

and Sisters and Brothers,   

Grandma and Grandpa,

And so many others!

One Family is Big,

While another is Small.

Some Families have children,

And some, not at all.

When we’re together or far,far apart the people I love fill the map in my heart.

Water,Water Everywhere

Water,Water Everywhere please do not come over here

It’s dry and calm we don’t need you to give us any harm. Then you came down from the sky the adults soon had a sigh.

Worms came they spread germs all over the place, soon it Stopped pouring down the worms started dying now.

I learnt that people or creatures don’t really like the sun And that is my poem done.

Water is clearly a mystery to me.

A solid?

A liquid?

A gas?

It’s all three

Freeze it, warm it, boil it, you’ll see

                          You can not see it.It's out of sight don't go close it's no delight.
                                   You may see it over there that's a sign to be aware
                                            you see rocks falling from the sky soon 
                                                  it's time to say bye bye then it

                                                                 proof then 
                                                           it stopped coming 
                                                     down the children's frowns

Winter Poem

     WALT: Write a poem about winter using strong verbs.

  My  winter Friend

One morning I went out to see, a world      

of white in front of me. So I rolled up

      three balls of snow and stacked them up,        

      Rounded the sides with a push and a jump. I put on a top hat, a scarf and a face. I named my winter friend and gave him an embrace. I hope that you could stay for a while. Oh snowman, you have made me smile.

WALT: How to write an explanation.

Room 8 have learnt the structure of an explanation and have been practicing writing explanations in class.
We wrote about how to make a new friend and then turned it into a presentation to put onto individual blogs. I turned my explanation into a slideshow.
