Parihaka - Day of Plunder
Parihaka Was something about a tribe peacefully communicating to get their land back and then the military got involved for more information not out of my words but about a actual Artical's work click here https://nzhistory.govt.nz/occupation-pacifist-settlement-at-parihaka - Parihaka took place at Taranaki -here is a photo of the tribes land. Te Whiti and Tohu were arrested and jailed for 16 months, 1,600 Parihaka inhabitants were expelled and dispersed throughout Taranaki without food or shelter and the remaining 600 residents were issued with government passes to control their movement. Soldiers looted and destroyed most of the buildings at Parihaka. Here is a short video related to Parihaka-
Mount Vesuvius Eruption
This eruption took place at a place called Pompeii its from Italy, This Volcanic eruption blew off at 7980 Here is a little article around the Chaotic event...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mount Vesuvius, a volcano near the Bay of Naples in Italy, has erupted more than 50 times. Its most famous eruption took place in the year 79 A.D., when the volcano buried the ancient Roman city of Pompeii under a thick carpet of volcanic ash. The dust “poured across the land” like a flood, one witness wrote, and shrouded the city in “a darkness…like the black of closed and unlighted rooms.” Two thousand people died, and the city was abandoned for almost as many years. When a group of explorers rediscovered the site in 1748, they were surprised to find that–underneath a thick layer of dust and debris–Pompeii was mostly intact. The buildings, artifacts and skeletons left behind in the buried city have taught us a great deal about everyday life in the ancient world.

Life in Pompeii
Greek settlers made the town part of the Hellenistic sphere in the 8th century B.C. An independently-minded town, Pompeii fell under the influence of Rome in the 2nd century B.C. and eventually the Bay of Naples became an attraction for wealthy vacationers from Rome who relished the Campania coastline.
By the turn of the first century A.D., the town of Pompeii, located about five miles from the mountain, was a flourishing resort for Rome’s most distinguished citizens. Elegant houses and elaborate villas lined the paved streets. Tourists, townspeople and slaves bustled in and out of small factories and artisans’ shops, taverns and cafes, and brothels and bathhouses. People gathered in the 20,000-seat arena and lounged in the open-air squares and marketplaces. On the eve of that fateful eruption in 79 A.D., scholars estimate that there were about 12,000 people living in Pompeii and almost as many in the surrounding region.

Drama- What are props?
A prop, formally known as (theatrical) property,is an object used on stage or screen by actors during a performance or screen production. In practical terms, a prop is considered to be anything movable or portable on a stage or a set, distinct from the actors, scenery, costumes, and electrical equipment. Consumable food items appearing in the production are also considered props.
What is a slave prop... - Founder- Wikipedia
The prop sync adjusts the r.p.m. of the “slave” engine to precisely match the r.p.m. of the “master” engine, and then maintains that relationship. The prop sync should be disengaged when the pilot selects a new propeller r.p.m., then re-engaged after the new r.p.m. is set.
What is a Prop Weapon, Hero prop, Stunt prop
Prop guns are mostly just (broken or disabled) Airsoft guns or rubber lookalikes. Prop guns are what they throw around .... Blank guns usually are real gun just loaded with blanks, A hero prop is a prop that is used on screen for closeups and has all the necessary details so it can be shown up close on camera without giving away that it is fake or specifically created for a movie. This means that it has e.g. working features like lights or moving parts, opposite to a static or stunt piece, Stunt props areRubber bladed-weapons and guns are examples of props used by stuntmen to minimize injury, or by actors where the action requires a prop which minimizes injury.

Science Experiment- Distillation
-Separate a Solution: to collect the solvent (Liquid).0
-Distillation is the scientific experiment used to show to process of condensation.
-Aim: To separate a solute from a solvent in a solution using distillation.
-Equipment: A solution of Cola, Conical flask, heatproof mat, a delivery tube and bung, Bunsen burner, Tripod, gauze mat, retort sand, boss head and clamp, a boiling tube, Coke Zero
-Method:
1. set up the equipment as shown in the diagram
2. add approximately 50mL of saltwater to your conical flask
3. Light your Bunsen burner. Open the air hole an gently push the Bunsen burner under the tripod.
4. Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated. Turn off your Bunsen burner.
Hypothesis- Coca Cola- I think that coca cola is going to fizz up more because it actually has more sugar in it compared To Zero
Coke Zero- I think that coke zero is going evaporate and dissolve,
Results- The results were the conical flask has barely any cola inside of it anymore and inside of the bong tube had lots of steam and looked like when you heat up a jug it looks like it is steaming and that is what i saw inside of this experiment, Evaporation was used when the solvent was slowly melting in mid air.
Discussion- I saw that these experiments are somehow connecting to solvent/solution also using Dissolve, Solute, Solvent, Solution,Evaporate,Condense,Distillation
Conclusion- This Task worked and looked really interesting to watch things condense whilst the solvent was left behind...

Silent Movie
Hello Today in Drama we got told to make a story telling what teenagers nowadays are doing. In this we were meant to Put an image of something relate able towards it and also add a song, In this case we decided to make it that teenagers are kinda addicted to technology so then our scene is a fire inside of a house and then the kid doesn't listen to his mother and then he calls the firefighters to help him- Once the firefighters come the music plays and then he goes towards the kid taking his phone and then grabs him to safety and the kid realizes what happened and says "sorry i should have been paying more attention" Here is the music we added to our story and the picture we chose towards our scene!
Link to music video - WARNING-could be air rape to some people.

Evaporation Experament
We have been learning about evaporation and everything to do with it- Just so you know Evaporation means the process of turning from liquid into vapor.
Our aim is to Evaporate copper,Sulfate. (Blue Liquid) ==> Solute- Solid, Solvent-Liquid, Solution-Mixture,
I think that it would turn into gas and turn into a different color on the way of that happening.

so far it has been fogging up and bubbles have bubbles are starting to rise there is condensation bubbles are starting to rise fast water is boiling steam is starting to escape crystals are starting to form- I couldn't Record the data so i used my friends data because i was looking after the experament and telling them whats happening during the time and whats changing.

On Tuesday we made Pikelets and we made it with this process, ingredients and when we made this some of them were kinda burnt but they tasted all the same the thing we needed to work on was trying to cook it on the correct temperature because we had it on 7 but we needed to turn it all the way down to 5 when we did this it turned out perfectly and we were all proud of the work we had accomplished.
