Aim: To learn about the different activities that contribute to climate change
1.Industry-Making clothes,cars,electronics and processed foods creates a lot of pollution when materials like plastic,cardboard,metal and cement are made,harmful gasses are released into the air and the water.
2.Transport- Most cars need gas or diesel to work and these come from oils which are fossil fuels
3.Waste- Our landfills are growing and using up more healthy land.
4.Cows-Cows create a greenhouse gas called methane when they burp and fart methane is a greenhouse gas that is 25 times more powerful than carbon dioxide with about 1.5 billion cows around the world,methane is having a big effect on climate change.
5.Food- We need food to survive, but it creates a lot of pollution.
6.Electricity- Electricity is a form of energy used to power almost everything in our homes.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.
