Hurumanu - What is that white powder?
Aim: To learn about the makeup of different white powders.
There are a number of different white powders in our everyday life. Some of these are harmful and others are not. Test the four white powders listed to see which one has been found at the airport.
1. Cornflour
2. Baking Soda
3. Salt
4. Sugar
Before you add the iodine, vinegar or water you will need to divide each powder into 3.
1. Magnifying glass
2. sugar
3. salt
4. cornflower
5. baking soda
6. cardboard paper
7. pipette
8. iodine
9. water
10. Vinegar
Steps
1. make four squares on your cardboard paper
2. name each square...Sugar, cornflour, Salt and Baking soda
3. then place a teaspoon of each ingredient in the correct square
4. then separate the ingredients with a pencil but try to keep it in the square.
5. get a pipette and put some water in it and put a very little bit of water in each square
6. then get the iodine and pour a little bit of iodine in each square as well and look at the colors

Hi Kaedun, I like how you explained or told us how and what you are doing. It looks fun because I did it too and I know you loved it as same as me. I liked how you told us what kind of reaction it made to each white powder with different liquid. The reaction for each powder was interesting, well done Kaedun. Keep up the great work.
