Health, Discovery Tasks

In Health we were set a task that required us to think more about gaming and what it does to the human mind Our set success criteria were answering all the BIG questions, strategies and what you could do to prevent our mind from deploying in the wrong direction, work is presented well (Could have added more images), Key answers to the key concepts are linked. The topic that I chose was Gaming.

Firstly we had to make our BIG questions, once we had our 5 BIG questions we answered them from there we corrected our work finding the true facts and what we would do to prevent it. We chose to make/create a Kahoot we chose to do this because it is simple and easy and it's a quiz for everyone to enjoy We have learned that these strategies in gaming are helpful to use if you ever get sore eyes or start feeling moody after gaming

It was challenging when we got sidetracked and missed out on a few days I coped with the challenge by remembering there is not much time left to finish the work and getting it done I worked not so well with others because we started mucking around and we only worked well on the last 2 days of health... Next time I will find a person to work with who will get me on the task. I am shocked that I actually got the work done.

Dystopia And Utopia

-Dystopia Means a world getting put in bad situations and a world falling apart basically a chaotic place to live in and everything is bad, Sometimes there will be people wanting to destroy the world or everyday 100k people die.. as you can tell dystopian films are where there is always a problem happening.

-Utopia means everything in the world is perfect and no invasions are happening, Your world has everything that you could dream of, In this case, I did Food and water because then nobody can starve and it will be cool to see nobody suffering around us.

(I am learning about dystopian film types and genres and focusing on the main movie: The Maze Runner)

(The Maze Runner is a movie how people go into a cage and end up in between walls, Struggling to escape through the maze a bunch of brave people go into the maze where nobody has ever survived.)

(I want to know how dystopian films are made and how they come up with the idea of the problems.)

Smothie's | Home Economics

(Our Group) Fresh fruity breakfast smoothie:

Ingredients: 1 cup cold milk or soy milk 1 wheet-bix (crumbled up) 1 banana, chopped 1/2 cup fresh or frozen berries.

Results: ------- 3/10 ---- This smoothie mostly tasted like wheet-bix and mixed fruits. I like having wheet-bix in milk but it doesn't suit a smoothie. The smoothie was thick and The Flavours didn't mix well together. This would be good for a morning smoothie (wakeup smoothie) because it contains wheet-bix.

Peach Yogurt Smoothie:

Ingredients: 1 1/2 cup sliced peaches (fresh, frozen, or well drained tinned chopped peaches) 1/2 cup Greek yoghurt 1/2 cup very cold milk (best frozen in an ice cube tray beforehand) 1 T honey Vanilla ice cream (optional ingredient)

Results: ------- 4/10 ---- This tasted alright with the yoghurt inside of it and didn't mix perfectly but it, Honestly, I wouldn't have it again.

Super berry smoothie:

Ingredients: 125g frozen mixed berries eg raspberries, strawberry's, blueberry's 125ml yoghurt 50ml cold milk 10 - 15g rolled oats 1 tsp honey

Results: ------- 3/10 ----- This smoothie tasted sour and it tasted different to the rest, probably because it had rolled oats and honey I think it doesn't seem right into a server. The smoothie was very chewy and thick and it just wasn't the best. I probably would have again (Just to see what it tastes like again)

Easy banana ice cream smoothie

Ingredients: 2 or 3 bananas (peeled, sliced and frozen)

Results: ------- 6/10 ---- This smoothie tasted quite nice and cold because the bananas were very cold from when they were in the freezer for a few hours. The texture was quite thin and Runny. I probably would have again

Mango and banana smoothie:

Ingredients: ½ tin well-drained mango slices (cut into pieces) 1 banana - sliced 200ml orange juice or pineapple juice (cold) ½ small apple - optional (cut into small pieces) 2 or 3 small ice cubes

Results: ------- 6/10 ---- This smoothie tasted quite sweet and moist, It was good alright tasting but also needed more milk or something, The flavour was alright but it wasn't the best. From my perspective I probably wouldn't have often but I would have it again sometime

The mystery smoothie:

For this smoothie, no one knew what was in this smoothie except for the group that had made this smoothie. In this smoothie, there was a special ingredient that no one knew what it was. We were told it was a mix of everything.

Ingredients: Ice cream Yogurt Mixed berry's eg raspberries, strawberry's, blueberry's Milk Weet-bix Honey Vanilla essence

Results: ------- 9/10 ----- This smoothie was the best one of all because it just tasted spectacular mixing all of them, it had all of the ingredients mixed together and it was delicious. I was surprised because I didn't know there was honey or vanilla essence in it until our teacher told us all of the ingredients. I definitely would have it again.(The special ingredient was the vanilla essence)

KeyPoints in Rosa Parks life

 Rosa Parks Key Lifetime points-

Gymnastics

Before Gymnastics I thought it was boring because I honestly thought it was for girls and full flexibility. When I got into Gymnastics i first tried to do a front flip, With no experience I obviously failed, I could do a front flip but not land and its wasn't proper. After Attempting to accomplish that task I knew I had to move on to something that I can do.. I found the ballencing beam and after learning to walk on it, balance on it, run on it, do poses on it, I knew that it was my speciality so I grabbed a small cone and learned to jump over it with two feet, then I started getting more and more, Until I could do 3 at a time with 2 feet then I moved on from that and learned something else but shortly after that the week later i decided to do a crazy one foot and jumping over cones, i was proud of myself for accomplishing it and my friends are now calling me the one foot wonder. This week i decided to instead of doing it all myself i did some by myself and decided to teach my friends how to do it, if we had more cones i can try to do more but meanwhile with 3 cones i will keep it 3, only one of my friends could jump over two cones with two feet and that was kaleb, the rest were scared of jumping and hurting, The teacher said i can try with no mat and just a small tiny mat instead of a big poofy mat, i am going to learn how to balance whilst jumping at the same time, here is a image of me jumping over three cones one, small two, medium and three, large cones hope you like the image, Warning! - its blurry

Next year in Gymnasitcs I want to learn how to do full bar flips, or learn to do at least 8 cones with no mat and balance that is what i wish to accomplish throughout this journey

Here is a Video of me doing 3 cones with 2 feet, this was when I was getting used to lading straight and now I'm more confident. If you would like to see more videos of my improvements over this period of time comment down below.

I think our group worked well we all did a part in making the food and cleaning up.

I liked the recipe it tasted great but I think it could have been a bit bigger

Rice Paper Roles

Today in Home Economics class we made Rice Paper Rolls. It tasted Delicioso and something that we could have added what we didn't have was meat but otherwise, it tasted Good.

Ingredients

1/2 cup carrot sliced finely

1/3 cup capsicum sliced finely

1/2 cup cucumber sliced finely

1/2 cup Avocado

Method

1. Dip the rice paper sheets in cold water,

the layout on a clean benchtop and let them

soften for a minute.

2. Select from the different fillings to make 1⁄2

cup. Place in the middle of each softened

rice paper sheet.

3. Fold the left- and right-hand side of each

sheet towards the middle. Repeat.

4. Roll into a cylinder shape.

5. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready

to serve.

Serving suggestions

• Serve with a dipping sauce.

Reflection

I think that our group worked well together and communicated well, We tried to make our design fancy whilst making the rice paper roles but unfortunately, we were the last ones to finish cleaning, That's what I think we can work on, (Being one of the first to clean our mess up and doing dises)
