Metaphor: A metaphor is a figure of speech that describes an object in a way that isn't true, but helps explain an idea.
Example 1: He is a shining star.
Example 2:The Snow is a white blanket

Similes: Uses the words "like or as" to compare things.
Example 1: You are as fast as a Pronghorn.
Example 2: You are as smart as a Chimpanzee.
