Bullying/Being mean/Being rude

Whats the difference between Bullying, Being mean, Being rude-

Bulling- Is repetitive, Imbalance of power, Hurtful and Intentional
Being mean- Is when you act unkind, Cruel and hurting someone else feelings
Being rude- When you have bad behavior and have no manners. You may also be offensive

What Lines are bullying, Being mean or Being rude-

Limara tells MacKenzie that she can’t sit with her on the bus today because she is saving the seat for a girl from her Social Studies class- Being mean- Because The girl hurt MacKenzie's feelings that she will be lonely on the bus

Lucas tells Damon that he can’t hang out with him because he is the worst basketball player in the whole year group- Being rude- He had no manners and had bad behavior against Damon

Tasha makes plans to go to the school dance with her new friend, Gwen. Katie tells Tasha that if she hangs out at the dance with Gwen that everyone will think she is a total weirdo and no one will like her anymore. At lunch that day, Katie convinces everyone that it would be a really funny joke to all laugh out loud when Tasha approached the lunch table-Bullying- Because she made fun of Tasha and made everyone dislike her.

Devin and David are friends. In school, they had an argument. Devin called David a name and David shoved him out of his way-Bullying- Might have done this in the past and physically hurting someone is bullying

Marigold is making fun of the fact that Lucy hangs out with the boys at interval and wears long basketball shorts to school every day.  In gym class, Marigold told her to go play on the boys’ team and the day before in homeroom, she wrote the words “You’re so gay” on Lucy’s desk-Being Mean- Disrespectful person Marigold was because she is just an unkind person.

Brady told JP he would beat him up if he touched his cars, then shoved JP out of his way. During math class, he threw a spitball at JP and kicked his chair out from under him. He threatened to punch JP if JP told the teacher-Bullying- Because turned people against him and keep't on doing things that repetitive

Emma  and Brit play on the same field hockey team and are normally best friends, but have been in an argument for three days. Emma called Brit a mean name after practice and Brit sent Emma a mean text-Being Rude- Because Texts can get ignored but its also a cruel thing that Emma did.

    This a thoughtful post about the differences between bullying and other kinds of undesirable behaviour. You have put effort into the examples and point out the repetitive nature of bullying. We all over-react of say the wrong things from time to time but understanding the differences between being rude and bullying, for example, helps us put things in perspective and help others. Thanks for this post. Good work!
